Understanding the Challenges Faced by CMRL

CMRL, Michaung cyclone bulletin update:

4 Dec 2023, 8 am:

1. There is water logging around St Thomas Mt metro station for 4 ft. Access to enter the station has been cut off. Passengers are advised to avoid the station and instead board trains at Alandur.

2. Water has entered the 2 wheeler parking area and is rising despite continuous pumping. Presently water level in the parking area is 4 ft. There are few two wheelers left behind by owners.

3. Road in front on Koyembedu metro station is flooded. Station is accessible by foot over bridge from Rohini Theatre side.

4. There is water overflow into roads near Arumbakkam station due to which there may be some difficulty in accessing Arumbakkam Metro station.

5. Wallaja Road Subway side Entry to Government Estate Metro Station is closed. Passengers may use other entries to reach Government Estate Metro Station.

6. Other stations are accessible, with only minor water logging at Street level.

7. Trains services have commenced normally at 5 am.

8. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.

9. Team CMRL is working hard to provide best services to its passengers and deeply regrets inconvenience to its passengers caused due to reasons beyond its control.

10. Next update will be issued if there is any further development or at 10 am, whichever is earlier.
