The establishment of a new ecological spot in Kovalai Lake, Chengalpattu brings several benefits to the local environment and community.

• Biodiversity Conservation: The creation of this ecological spot will provide a safe haven for a diverse range of plant and animal species. By protecting and restoring the natural habitats in and around the lake, the spot will contribute to the conservation of biodiversity in the region.

It also includes boating, watch tower, an island like structure in the center of the lake.

The Government has allocated 60 cr to this project. It expands over2179 acres which includes all the tourist amenities. This mega tourist attraction is expected to open in the mid of 2025.
